Hiring an
experienced Doula may seem expensive but
its benefits are immeasurable. At present almost
30% of pregnancies end in Caesarean Section. Caesarean
section is major abdominal surgery and should be avoided if
possible. Good preparation coupled with hiring a Doula
is well known to reduce the need for surgery and definitely
makes a better start for mother and baby.
Basic Package - £650 inclusive.
(Birth in any location
including home)
Minimum of two visits
before the birth in order to form a team and discuss your
thoughts, preparation for birth and parenthood, loan of
books and other resources and equipment, discuss coping
techniques that will make birth easier, help with
formulating the birthplan, unlimited communication by e-mail
or phone, companion at any clinical appointments (if
required), plus two visits after the birth (at your
invitation). |
Home Waterbirth Package - £750 inclusive.
Basic package,
as on left, plus hire of waterpool (mini or regular
dependent on your height), aquasonicaid and all the other
various bits and pieces needed for a smooth waterbirth.
I will do everything, deliver the pool including liner and
new hose when you are ready to have them in your house - set
the pool up, fill it, keep it up to temperature during the
birth and afterwards empty the pool and take it away.
Hire of pool and accessories
(you collect and return the equipment) -
£70 (includes new liner and hose)
Hire of pool and accessories (I bring
the equipment to you, put it up and collect it afterwards) -
£100 plus petrol
